Earth to George Clooney. Hollywood, in all its self rightous virtue did award an oscar to Hattie McDaniel, a black woman, for her part in the 1939 film, Gone With The Wind. However, when the time came for McDaniels to receive her award she was seated in a "special" section for her and her guest in, you guesed it, the back of the theater.
